Byer acoustic cotton is an exclusive acoustic product using polypropylene (PP) meltblown cotton as its base material. It's a medical-grade, luxurious, and environmentally friendly acoustic product. The polypropylene (PP) is ejected at near-sonic speeds through a high-pressure hot air stream via a narrow slit in an air chamber. The melt is ejected from micropores in the spinning process, held and stretched by the high-speed airflow, and after cooling, forms ultrafine fibers with a diameter of only 1-5 μm (micrometers). These ultrafine fibers are then stacked using a thermal bonding machine (XY layering) to create countless labyrinthine μm-sized pores. Sound waves can penetrate deep into the material along these tiny, interconnected pores, converting sound energy into heat energy through friction. These tiny, interconnected pores provide a favorable structure for broadband absorption, resulting in excellent sound absorption even at very thin thicknesses.
Byer acoustic cotton is suitable for use in any space with stringent environmental requirements, including but not limited to sound absorption, sound insulation, and noise reduction in homes, kindergartens, hospitals, and offices.
