Damping Vibration Reduction Paint (Water-based) - SoundBox

F-1000

Damping Vibration Reduction Paint (Water-based)

F-1000 is a low-density product, offering high damping performance with a relatively light dry film weight. Vibration absorption combines viscous (energy dissipation) and spring (energy storage) characteristics, where vibrational energy is absorbed within the material and converted into heat.

  • Model:

    F1000

  • Color:

Beige, gray, and dark gray—three colors for reference Available in standard capacities of 20kg/drum and 300kg/drum as required

  • Product Features:

Non-drip (thixotropic) Excellent adhesion to metals such as aluminum Cures to a hard, crack-resistant surface Flame-retardant, non-toxic, environmentally friendly Wide operating temperature and frequency range Applicable via air spray, airless spray, roller, or brush High performance, lightweight, specially formulated water-based damping composite for easy application and maximum performance utilization

  • Product Performance:

Excellent flame retardancy, meeting international yacht fire standards Water-based, easy to use and clean Lightest weight, best performing damping vibration reduction product Suitable for harsh outdoor exposure environments Increases transmission loss, significantly eliminating resonant noise Ideal for applications with stringent weight requirements

  • Scope of Application:

Roofs of steel-structured buildings such as airports, stations, docks, and sports venues Steel staircases and equipment with metal base plates Engine compartments, ship holds, decks, and bulkheads Active vibration damping and passive noise reduction for aircraft, trains, and vehicle cabins Undercarriages of combat vehicles and trucks, outer casings of excavation machinery Enclosures for machinery and equipment generating noise pollution

  • Surface Treatment:

F1000 is a high-adhesion product specifically formulated for difficult-to-bond substrates such as bare aluminum, providing sufficient basic surface preparation. Clean all dust, dirt, oil, grease, rust, release agents, etc., from the surface. Brush the surface with a wire brush; sanding and sandpaper are recommended for optimal surface preparation. Degrease the surface using an appropriate degreasing solution. For iron substrates, a primer is recommended to prevent thin rust layers.

  • Usage Instructions:

Before use, the product must be thoroughly stirred until uniform. If using a mixer, blend until smooth and pure white with consistent color. If necessary, viscosity can be adjusted by adding 0.3% water. Apply at temperatures above 15°C (59°F) with metal substrates exceeding 10°C (50°F). In air-conditioned environments, keep substrates dry and warm. Forced ventilation aids drying; airflow should circulate throughout the drying process.

  • Construction Method:

Jet Application: Please see the chart below for airless and air sprinkler systems Brush Application: We recommend adding 0.3% water per kilogram of product weight. This will help make application easier and smoother. Use a 100MM thickness nylon brush broom, the brush holds the sound insulation paint well and use short strokes. Apply a thick layer of about 2-3MM, avoid applying back and forth as it will become thinner. Roller application: We recommend adding 1% water per kilogram of product weight, this will help make application easier and smoother. Use a short rag roller, rolling in short strokes and rolling back and forth against the wall as this is what causes thinning. If there is a leak, use light brushing. The following data are for reference only, and comprehensive testing must be carried out before actual application on site.

Damping Vibration Reduction Paint (Water-based) specifications and applications

Unlike conventional damping materials, F-1000 is a low-density product offering high damping performance despite its lightweight dry film. It combines viscous (energy dissipation) and spring-like (energy storage) characteristics to absorb vibration energy within the material and convert it into heat.
Its uniquely optimized formulation outperforms comparable products across all parameters. Enhanced features include accelerated drying, ease of use, environmental friendliness, and flame retardancy.
Effectively reduces resonance, diminishing panel resonance effects while increasing transmission loss. Significantly controls the resonant frequency of the original substrate, thereby enhancing sound insulation.
Complies with IMO 653-16 standards and CE certification (MED B), meeting the quality requirements of BS476.6 and BS476.7. It is a key choice for environments with strict weight constraints.
Examples include steel structure building roofs, aircraft, yachts, automobiles, and trains.
